Kou Thao has always wanted to help others. He started out thinking he might want to be a nurse, but after a parking lot epiphany, he changed his major to business administration and never looked back. He has always been good with numbers, and he took very naturally to the courses. He graduated from Fresno State in the accounting option in the summer of 2020, and since then, his passion for the profession has only grown. Kao came to PPC seeking not only collaboration but also mentorship to help him discover how he can best apply his traits in the industry, and here, he has thrived. He uses his ability to visualize data to support clients in all of their business endeavors, and he loves that he is able to make his clients happy!
Kou is drawn to nature and loves going up into the hills to take in the fresh air. Off the clock, he spends his time trying new recipes and pruning his backyard fruit trees so that he can reach the rewards of his work come harvest season—otherwise, they grow much too tall for him to enjoy. Being outdoors helps him feel refreshed so that he can provide the best quality work for clients come Monday morning.
PCC Trivia: While Kou’s favorite family recipe is steamed chicken with black pepper, if he could only eat one food for the rest of his life, he would choose rice. Ever the pragmatist, he cited the versatility and healthiness of rice in his reasoning—even if it would taste a little bland!
