Van R. Dickerson Jr.
Prior to earning his Master’s in Accounting from Keller Graduate School of Management, Van took some time off to explore multiple countries. He took this opportunity of travel to meet different people from different professional backgrounds and cultures, hearing a majority of them talk about being passionate about what they did. He says they taught him to bring passion to what I do and passion starts from within. With great enthusiasm and a renewed zeal for life, he moved to Fresno, where he gained experience as a staff accountant and billing analyst.
During his professional journey in Fresno, he was able to focus on his values for passion, resilience, and growth. He overcame obstacles, managed change, and navigated through a complex profession. Currently, he is studying for his CPA. This brings on new challenges that motivate him to continue increasing his knowledge, skills, and experience as Audit Staff.
In between working and studying, Van enjoys listening to music, cooking, dancing, exercising and spending quality time with his friends and family. His cooking and dancing may not always be the greatest, but his friends and family make him feel like it is!
Fun Fact: Van’s guilty pleasure is eating peanut butter or pineapples, but if he could only eat one food for the rest of his life, it would be sandwiches because of the endless combinations and limitless toppings. (Hopefully none of those sandwiches will include peanut butter AND pineapple!)
